Welcome to Self Catering Durham at Eureka Mews near Durham City, where we have been providing 4 to 5 Star accommodation to happy customers since 2004!
Eureka Mews comprises of 6 high quality, high spec self catering apartments, all warm, cosy and clean. The five 2 beds 2 baths sleep 3 to 4 people and the 1 bed sleeps 2.
All are of a contemporary design and have everything you need for your stay, be it for business or leisure, with a weekly housekeeping and linen changing service
Close to local amenities with the village shop/deli/post office 100 metres, the very popular Red Lion Pub/Restaurant just 500m away and only 5 minutes drive to the Arnison Centre.

Do you want to stay in County Durham, in North East England, for leisure or business? We offer comfortable accommodation for both short term visits and lengthy stays. This is a beautiful and peaceful part of the world, and our spacious self-catering accommodation is just three miles north of the much-loved cathedral city of Durham.
The local area is renowned as a place to spend time in. Thanks to attractions including the fascinating history of Durham Cathedral, Beamish Museum and Auckland Castle and the relaxing countryside of the Durham Dales, you can have a blissful stay in our accommodation near Durham.

It is very well situated and great for easy travel to both Newcastle and Durham. The apartment is very well furnished and has everything you might require including dishwasher, washing machine etc. The local area is extremely friendly and the local pub (3 mins walk) did not disappoint either. This is the second time that I have stayed at Eureka Mews but the first time in this particular property. The facilities are excellent and the flat itself is very comfortable. Being a lone female, I particularly appreciated the secure parking. Hard to find a fault with the place!

Warm which was great considering the beast from the east got into full swing on Tuesday. Not far from retail park in Pity Me which has Sainsbury’s, mac Donald’s etc. Man came every day to clear snow of carpark, he needs a big thank you. Any questions we had delt with by the owner immediately.

However, there is a bus stop only 30 metres from the apartment with a service taking direct into the city. The apartment is very well appointed with all the comforts of home, with secure parking.

It was clean and comfortable particularly the beds. The locked gated car park provided excellent security for our vehicle.
There is much to enjoy in North East England
Our accommodation at Eureka Mews provides a convenient base from which you can enjoy the best of North East England. Your apartment will be a mere ten minutes away from the historical city of Durham, which is renowned for its cathedral and castle, and twenty minutes away from Newcastle, a cosmopolitan city that includes many exciting cultural venues including the huge Metro Radio Arena.
The small historical towns of Bishop Auckland and Barnard Castle are also in easy reach, as are the major towns of Middlesbrough and Sunderland. Local attractions slightly off the beaten track include Beamish Museum, an open air museum that depicts life in a County Durham town in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and the Riverside Ground, where you can enjoy watching Durham County Cricket Club play.
